Developing Your Intuition: Dream Portion
This week I'd like to invite you to join me in the next practice of Dream Recall as one of the Ways To Develop Your Intuition. You'll want to have a pad and pen/pencil by your bed for this practice, or a journal or notebook. (**I have found that minimizing movement upon waking until you reconnect with the dream thread better solidifies it in your memory. Then record your recollections.)
Dreams: During our waking hours, our cognitive brain is in control. It uses logic and reasoning to override our subconscious mind. However, during sleep that conscious mind rests, allowing our inner subconscious to shine though. We can learn alot about overcoming issues or problems by listening to this inner consciousness.
Keep a dream journal: Keep a notebook and pen right next to your bed, and immediately upon rising try to record everything you remember about your dreams. Dreams begin to fade from memory immediately upon waking, so make sure to grab your dream journal as soon as you can upon rising**. Like most things, this takes practice, you will get better over time at interpreting and recording these dreams. You will be able to see patterns and occasions where your inner consciousness is trying to help you solve problems or guide you in the right direction. (I have a selection of journals available for purchase. Or you can download one of the free ones shown. I can also recommend some crystals that may aid in dream recollection. Contact me)
Before going to bed, visualize yourself remembering your dreams. Picture yourself waking up and recording these dreams in your journal. Try to keep this thought in your head as you fall asleep. This will help imprint the practice in your mind and make it easier the next morning. Give yourself at least a week for this practice. When you have time, but I'd suggest doing this the same day, reflect on your notes and expand any other insights, feelings or random images that come up. Should you be considering using a "dream symbol interpretation book", I would suggest you do so with some hesitancy since I have read articles that advise not all symbols carry the same meaning for everyone. This might significantly alter the message trying to be shared with you. It is always best to preface your questions with "what does this mean to me", which I believe will lead you to a more personalized message/meaning. Should you wish to get a different perspective about a dream or any other hurdle or blockage you may be experiencing on your spiritual growth path, feel free to contact me for a free consultation about Spiritual Path Consultation. Feel free to share any insights or experiences with me (or if you'd like to start a discussion) ... I'd love to hear from you (message me).
